EMILY: Maybe it's not a puzzle, but it's just about a puzzle.

Emily Cross, Ben Babbitt, and Bob Buckstaff, collectively known as the Bedquilt Ramblers, are three characters appearing throughout the story of Kentucky Route Zero. According to Cardboard Computer, they are "like a chorus in Greek or Elizabethan theatre" and "kind of like the choir in a play – they kind of suggest to the audience how to feel, sometimes." They are considered to be ghosts.

The Bedquilt Ramblers share their name with the real-life musicians who provide the game's soundtrack.

Act I[edit]

WEAVER: Nice to know you, Conway. Keep your eyes open. Especially in the dark!

In Act I, Emily, Ben, and Bob first appear in the basement of Equus Oils playing a game with a twenty-sided die. After losing their die, Conway must retrieve it. When he finds and walks back to the table to return, they are gone.

They can be seen performing the song You've Got to Walk as Conway walks back from the Márquez Farmhouse to his truck.

Limits & Demonstrations[edit]

The trio are the main player characters in Limits & Demonstrations, where they walk through and observe the art gallery hosting an exhibition of Lula Chamberlain's works.

Act II[edit]

In Act II, they perform the song Long Journey Home, heard as Conway and the group walk through the Forest in search of Dr. Truman's house.

Act III[edit]

In Act III, the group can be seen standing outside Museum of Dwellings, and the characters argue amongst each other. When spoken to, they appear unable to hear Conway.

They can be seen performing the song What Would You Give as the group descends from the Hall of the Mountain King.

JOSEPH: Well, strange things happen underground. Especially in the dark ...

Here And There Along The Echo[edit]

In Here And There Along The Echo, Emily calls the phone and causes it to ring, with Ben and Bob also present.

Act IV[edit]

In Act IV, they perform the song This World Is Not My Home, floating by on the Echo River as the group descends the staircase from Sam & Ida's.

Act V[edit]
