Various fonts and typefaces are used in Kentucky Route Zero and its promotional materials.

List of fonts

Fonts appearing in-game and on official material

  • DM Serif – Game logo and title card, 2020. Modified so uppercase K is disconnected. (example)
  • Letter Gothic – In-game dialogue text (commonly mistaken for Inconsolata). (example)
  • Motor 4F – Game icon "Kentucky Route Zero," "PC Edition," and "TV Edition" texts. (example)
  • Select Mono – "A game by cardboard computer." heading. (example)

Previously-used fonts

  • Podkova – Game logo and title card (act/scene screens), 2013–2019. (example)

Custom fonts

Kentucky Route Zero also makes use of custom-created fonts. For example:

  • The "Too Late to Love You" karaoke sequence ("Karaoke").
  • Computer text, such as XANADU's or Joseph's ("Terminal").
  • Symbols found in clickable pop-ups for inspecting objects or speaking to characters, and lower-screen action buttons such as for controlling flashlights, umbrellas, and degaussing ("Symbols").

The title cards used in the beta build were also a custom font ("Naive").
