A debug mode is available in the PC Edition of Kentucky Route Zero. Disabled by default, this mode includes functions and features that are not intended to be accessed during normal play, and are not polished enough to be considered for inclusion in the TV Edition.
Debug tools may be enabled by editing settings.krz, and by changing the value in the line <setting name="console" value="False" /> to instead read True.

High resolution screenshot tool
This tool allows players to take screenshots at a much higher resolution than at their native monitor resolution. All screenshots taken using this tool can be found in the Screenshots subfolder, generated in the same location as settings.krz.
"Resolution factor" refers to a multiplier based on a player's in-game resolution, i.e. a factor of 1 is native resolution, while a factor of 2 would be double that.
F9
takes a high resolution screenshot.
Left Ctrl + Up Arrow
increases the resolution factor by 1.
Left Ctrl + Down Arrow
decreases the resolution factor by 1.
Left Ctrl + Page Up
multiplies the resolution factor by 2.
Left Ctrl + Page Down
divides the resolution factor by 2.
Here And There Along The Echo phone selection
Debug mode may be used with Here And There Along The Echo to display different telephone models.
